Mrs. Bradford's image will grace a commemorative stamp to be launched November 14th - one that will be an immediate collectible and must-have item for dedicated fans and stamp collectors world-wide. This marks the first time a living, female author has ever earned such a tribute.

Mrs. Bradford commented on the stamp: "It's such a unique honor, and one that I'd certainly never imagined. Being a writer -- whether as a novelist or journalist -- was always the livelihood for which I'd hoped as a child, and fortunately, it's been my life's work. This recognition is truly flattering, and I plan to keep writing well into the 21st century."

Barbara Taylor Bradford was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, and was a reporter for THE YORKSHIRE EVENING POST at age 16. By the age of 20, she had become both an editor and columnist on London's Fleet Street. In 1979, she wrote her first novel, A Woman of Substance, and that enduring bestseller was followed by 15 others. Her novels have sold more than 60 million copies in 39 languages worldwide.
