"That's Bob and I with Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Yugoslavia at 'The Princes Ball' in New York last month. The event benefited LIFELINE, a charity to help children in medical need in Serbia. It was held on May 13th at Cipriani in Midtown Manhattan."

Barbara just wrapped up a photo shoot for Barnes and Noble (booksellers) as a poster girl for their new edition of the NOOK. This is for a national campaign to promote the latest and best in the line of e-readers. Shown here is Barbara with the new Nook displaying her latest bestseller, Playing The Game.

The early reviews for Barbara's new novel Playing The Game have been outstanding. Barbara & Bob Honored By Literacy Partners of New York

On May 10th, the prestigious Literacy Partners of New York honored Bob and Barbara Taylor Bradford at a sellout, gala event at Lincoln Center (NYC). Major publishing houses attended including, HarperCollins, Random House, Macmillan, St. Martin's Press, Newscorp and many others. The Bradfords were honored for their extraordinary support of the drive to overcome illiteracy in the United States. On April 29th, Barbara was in Columbus, Ohio to receive two awards from RT Bookreview Magazine. The first was a Career Achievement Award for her body of work in mainstream fiction. Additionally, Barbara also received a Pioneer Award, which the magazine gives to authors who have been in the business since the 1980s and before. Barbara's Pioneer Award is for creating a new kind of heroine that raised the bar for all heroines to follow. Ceremonies took place at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Columbus, Ohio.

A luxury edition of Barbara Taylor Bradford’s A Woman of Substance has recently been published to coincide with the 30th anniversary since the book was first published.

Copies of the limited edition book - with a one-off print run of 750 copies - will all be beautifully covered with luxury purple velvet. Each book contains a specially commissioned Emma Harte family tree and a sepia photographic section of Barbara Taylor Bradford’s life in pictures. The luxury edition is set to become an immediate collector's item given first editions of the original book sell for hundreds of pounds. Click here to read more.

Barbara Taylor Bradford returns to roots to sign book number 82 million

Novelist Barbara Taylor Bradford returned to her Yorkshire roots as part of her UK book tour. She was at Harvey Nichols in Briggate, Leeds, to meet fans and take part in a book signing in a visit coinciding with the publication of her latest novel, Breaking The Rules. During the event Ellen Naylor, 17, of Headingley, Leeds, was presented with a copy of the author's 82 millionth book.
