As autumn begins I am pleased to announce several new and exciting projects in the works.

The first piece of news is that on November 28th, the paperback edition of my most recent novel THE TRIUMPH OF KATIE BYRNE will be released by Dell. It will be available in bookstores everywhere.

Furthermore, my newest project is a novel entitled THREE WEEKS IN PARIS. It will be delivered to Doubleday in the coming weeks in anticipation for a hardcover release during Valentines Day on February 12th, 2002. Three Weeks in Paris

The title for Barbara's forthcoming novel is THREE WEEKS IN PARIS. Scheduled for release on February 12th, 2002 by Doubleday, the buzz for this story has already begun. For those seeking insight and a synopsis, here is what can be told...

THREE WEEKS IN PARIS chronicles the friendship of four art students at the prestigious Anya Sedgwick School. Once the best of friends, the four part as enemies and pursue lives and careers in different corners of the world. Years later each of the four are conflicted after receiving an invitation to return to Paris to celebrate a milestone anniversary for their design school. Ultimately they each choose to return to deal with unfinished business for three eventful weeks that rekindle ties and awaken in one another the sense of wonder, adventure and possibilities shared so long ago.

On November 16, 2001, Barbara will be on hand to receive an award for "Distinguished Women" from Northwood University in Phoenix, Arizona. This prestigious award is granted each year to 'women of exceptional leadership and achievement in the fields of business, the arts, public service, education, the media volunteerism and philanthropy. Past recipients of the award include Elizabeth Dole and Denise Ilitch.

On November 17th, 2001, Barbara will be honored in Orlando, Florida by Romantic Times magazine at their annual Booklovers Convention. At the book fair Barbara will be autographing copies of the hardback and new paperback of her bestseller The Triumph of Katie Byrne. She may also provide a sneak preview of her upcoming novel Three Weeks In Paris. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend.

Also, look for Barbara on Television in several appearances to tie in with the release of Three Weeks In Paris in February.

Recent Appearances

Barbara Taylor Bradford was a panelist at the New York Public Library's 20th Anniversary Literary Luncheon, which was held in the Library's Celeste Bartos Forum on Tuesday, April 24th, 2001. Anchor Paula Zahn moderated the discussion on "The New, New Money: A Cultural Transformation." Playwright and author Wendy Wasserstein and authors Ron Chernow and James Stewart also joined Barbara on the panel.

Barbara also appeared at a literary luncheon for the Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield, New Jersey, on Thursday, April 26th. Barbara spoke about her literary career and signed copies of her new novel, The Triumph of Katie Byrne.

On October 10th, 2001, Barbara was in Washington DC where she attended the Board of Directors Dinner for the Library of Congress.

The Barbara Taylor Bradford StampsIn November of 2000, Barbara became the first living female novelist to be honored on postage stamps when the Caribbean nations of Grenada and St. Vincent paid homage to her with two different postage stamp sheets. The stamps were introduced at two separate gala events in New York and in London. The New York event was held at LeCirque 2000 and was attended by dozens of celebrities and more than two hundred of the Bradford's close friends and associates. Also on hand were the Ambassadors of the issuing governments. The London event was held at the elegant Dorchester Hotel with Royalty and dignitaries on hand.
